Nintendo Switch adds video capture and USB headphone support

It can be initiated through the System Settings menu, where a new Transfer Your User and Save Data option will appear under Users.

The latest Nintendo Switch update is now live, allowing fans to finally record their gameplay. While it seems a little more tedious than just using a wired headphone, you can attach your wireless headphone receiver through the Switch's bottom USB-C port and get wireless audio that way. The update suggests it will work on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 1.3.0 but the game is still in 1.2.1 version and an update is expected to be rolled out soon. It can be launched by pressing and holding the dedicated screen capture button of the hybrid console, and once recording is finished, the video will be saved to the Nintendo Switch album.

A press statement sent ahead of this weekend's public release from the NPD Group has confirmed the Switch has sold more than 2 million systems through September 30.

Unfortunately, the video capture functionality is only set to now work on the latest version of four first-party games. Second, it is only now compatible with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, though more games will likely be added soon.

Twelve new Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild icons are also available. Also, you will have the ability to pre-purchase and pre-load particular games from the eShop. There is a catch with this feature though, only certain games can use this.

The new update also changed the look of the Newsfeed. Gamers will be able to enjoy games differently now.
