'Black Day:' Durrani pays homage to sacrifices of Kashmiris

The demonstrators demanded of New Delhi to free Kashmir and give right to self-determination to the Kashmir people.

The day was marked with a complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir.

"We pay homage to the sacrifices of our brethren in IoK and reiterate our unflinching and steadfast moral, diplomatic and political support for the just cause of the people of Jammu and Kashmir".

"The worst form of state terrorism is being perpetrated against the defenceless people of IoK to silence and crush their legitimate struggle, in complete disregard of global human rights and humanitarian laws".

The Embassy of Pakistan in the Iranian capital observed "Black Day" in solidarity with the Kashmiri people to highlight India's illegal occupation of the Kashmiri state and express solidarity with the people of the state who are being subjected to worst kind of brutalities by the Indian armed forces. The AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Bajees Tahir and other speakers at a function organized in Muzaffarabad by Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell said that the Kashmiris would not rest till they achieved freedom from Indian subjugation. The railway services were also suspended as a precautionary measure.

'Mersal' Telugu release in trouble, no censor clearance yet!
After his film embroiled in a controversy over its dialogues, its Telugu version titled Adhirindhi , has been postponed. In his PIL, he requested the censor certificate to be revoked so as to enable the said scenes and dialogues be removed.

Referring to the atrocities and gross human rights violations being committed by India against the Kashmiri people, Ambassador Durrani said that after the extra-judicial killing of Burhan Wani previous year by the Indian forces, Indian brutalities against innocent Kashmiris has increased to unprecedented levels in terms of killing and torture of Kashmiris, especially youth. "Indian forces continue to illegally occupy Kashmir for over 70 years now", statement issued by Joint Resistance Leadership reads.

At the same time, she said, India continues to escalate the situation along the Line of Control, in order to deflect global attention from its atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

"The story of Kashmir has been an unremitting tale of pain and suffering, for generations of Kashmiri men, women and children", the Pakistani envoy said. "The landing of Indian Army in Kashmir was unjustified".

The house further said that India which boasts itself largest democracy of the world is in violation of democratic values and principles given its denial of the most fundamental human rights of the people of Kashmir. They urged India to end draconian laws in the IOK and meet its global obligation by giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations resolutions. These facts seek urgent attention of the worldwide community.
