Ghost of Tsushima is Sucker Punch's latest creation

In writing about the reveal today on the official PlayStation Blog, Sucker Punch game director Nate Fox questioned why no one has to date created a "sprawling samurai open-world game". Set during the period in which the Mongols invaded the island of Tsushima, it's up to you to fight back, though you'll be given some freedom as to how you do it. Give the reveal trailer a watch below. Given that the developer hopes to make Ghost of Tsushima look incredibly realistic, it may need until then to make sure the game is the best it can be.

The studio behind the Infamous franchise is back, this time with an action-adventure Samurai game entitled Ghost of Tsushima. Quite far from samurai, don't you think?

Just looking at its name and description, Ghost of Tsushima seems to be a stealth action game. For me, the answer is clearly "yes, yes please". The types of characters, landscapes, betrayal, and sacrifice in those stories are a rich vein ready to be translated into a videogame.

This new IP from Sucker Punch Productions was announced during Sony's showcase at Paris Games Week, and the cinematic trailer shows off some gorgeous shots in 4k.

But, it's real, and a trailer is now ready for you to watch! These are all speculations though depending on what we see, so we must wait for more information by Sony. Keeping it a secret for so long has been painful.
