On account of Donald trump made an attempt on Twitter

Twitter has handed over to Senate investigators the profile names, or "handles", of 201 accounts linked to Russian attempts at influencing the 2016 presidential election.

Twitter initially said the account had been "inadvertently deactivated due to human error", but later indicated it was done intentionally by a departing worker.

The person who shut the President out of Twitter was reportedly a private contractor hired by the company.


On Thursday President Donald Trump's Twitter feed went down, unfortunately it was restored 11 minutes later. While plenty of people on social media regarded that as a period of great delight and hailed the employee as a hero, Twitter wasn't amused.

The San Francisco-based social media company says it's conducting a "full internal review" and taking steps to prevent it from happening again.

The outspoken president has 41.7 million followers on his personal Twitter account, which he uses to blast controversial and attention-grabbing comments.

Mr. Trump uses his account, which has more than 41 million followers, as a mouthpiece for the USA presidency. Trump has used Twitter to announce policies.

But by 7 p.m., Twitter had learned that a customer support employee, on their last day of work, pulled the stunt. Trump did not react to the temporary account removal until almost 12 hours later.

By Friday Morning, Trump responded to the situation by deeming the person responsible a "rogue" employee.
