Chevrolet unveils most powerful, fastest Corvette in history

Chevy offers ZR1 buyers a standard wing, but a track-adjustable High Wing is also available. With a supercharged LT5 6.2L V8 the Corvette ZR1 has an insane 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft. of torque.

In a first for GM, the engine also gets direct and port fuel injection, as opposed to the Z06's direct injection only. Back in your driveway, it's also the most extreme-looking: An optional massive rear spoiler and wraparound ground effects generate track-smacking downforce, while multiple gaping bumper portals replace the single unit on other Corvettes.

When it comes to the Corvette, sometimes you get what you want, not what you need.

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 comes as close as ever to giving foreign supercar brands like Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini a real run for the money - and, indeed, at $130,000, this 755 horsepower King Kong Corvette is a veritable bargain. Top speed of the ZR1 is over 210 miles per hour. Pricing was not announced. This marks the first time an automatic has been offered on the coveted ZR1. This package also includes a front splitter with carbon fiber end caps, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 summer performance tires, revised chassis tuning, and reworked Magnetic Ride Control suspension calibration.

The 2019 Corvette ZR1 goes on sale next spring, poised to take on the world's best. The standard Low Wing is the one that has the least drag and enables the ZR1 to hit its claimed top speed of over 335 km/h; even so, the vehicle generates up to 70% extra downforce compared to a stock Z06 in this form.

Google fixes Pixel trade-in factory reset and misclassification problems
Google addressed a number of complaints with a software update last week, and it might need to do something similar again. For now, it appears that the unresponsive screen edges of Google Pixel 2 XL have nothing to do with hardware defects.

A low stanchion-mounted rear wing is standard equipment, paired with a new front underwing to supply a 70-percent increase in downforce compared to a base Z06. To rectify this, Chevrolet has added an additional four radiators to the ZR1.

A new Sebring Orange Design Package will make it virtually impossible to ignore the new Corvette ZR1.

Those willing to reach deeper into their pockets can order the new Sebring Orange Design Package adding an array of orange accents combined with the main Sebring Orange Tintcoat paint.

Both of the rear wings are tied directly into the car's chassis, as on the C7.R race auto, for the best possible strength and stability. Other options include heated and ventilated Nappa leather, carbon-fiber portions of the steering-wheel rim, high-performance seats, Bose premium audio and GM's Performance Data Recorder.
