The 2017 season wasn't much better for Patterson, following the abrupt exit of Freeze, Patterson was lost for the season in the LSU game. Bjork said no players have made him aware of their desire to transfer yet. The 41-year-old led the Rebels to a respectable season, including an Egg Bowl win over rival Mississippi State last week. The school said the resignation was not in relation to the NCAA case.
