Browns coach says he will keep promise, jump into Lake Erie

Browns coach says he will keep promise, jump into Lake Erie

According to NFL.com, someone asked Jackson on Wednesday if he would keep his promise.

The Browns coach said previous year if the team went 1-15 again, he would jump into the lake.

Now, the winless Browns need to post their first win of the season in their finale versus the Pittsburgh Steelers (12-3) on Sunday just to reach 1-15. A loss would make the Browns just the second team to lose all 16 games.

"I don't like to do it for the reason I am having to do it, but I have to make do on my word", he said.

"I made that statement", Jackson said.

Money raised for the event would go toward The Hue Jackson Foundation, which was created to fight human trafficking in Cleveland. Jackson said he'd jump into Lake Erie.

When Haslam fired Sashi Brown, the team's vice-president of football operations, on December 8 and replaced him with general manager John Dorsey, he also announced Jackson would return.

Apple boosts pay for Tim Cook
Vice President Al Gore and former Northrop Grumman CEO Ron Sugar, are up for election to remain on the board another year. In 2016, missed targets meant Apple execs got only 89.5 per cent of their potential cash incentive payouts for the year.

"That (jump is) going to be at my convenience and hopefully I can get a lot of people to come out", Jackson said. Hue Jackson said it. It is tough. Being in this situation is hard. "I get it. I can pick a day and get everyone out there, we'll all be in swimsuits and trunks and snorkels and all that".

"How? You just jump in".

His team already sunk, Browns coach Hue Jackson is taking the plunge.

The Browns play the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 31 in their final game of the season.

Cleveland went 1-15 last season, and Jackson said if it happened again, people would find him "swimming in (Lake Erie)". We're not going 1-15 next year.

If Jackson manages to hang on to his job after this season, we'll see if he makes further bold predictions for next year. Again, I don't take light to things that I say that I put out there. "I haven't been able to".
