Westbrook, George, & Anthony on First Returns for All-Star Voting

James, who is aiming for his 14th straight selection to the midseason exhibition, has accumulated more than 856,000 votes, while Antetokounmpo has totaled a shade over 863,000 as the top vote-getter.

Golden State's Kevin Durant leads the Western Conference by 32, 287 votes over his teammate Stephen Curry. Kyrie Irving is in third place overall in the East after 12 days of voting, while Russell Westbrook is third among guards in the West. Irving left James and the Cavaliers in the summer while Durant controversially chose to leave Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016 for the Warriors.

In the West, Durant and New Orleans tandem Anthony Davis (393,000) and DeMarcus Cousins (356,340) led in the frontcourt while Curry and Houston's James Harden (602,040) were the top guards.

Under the NBA's new voting process, the two top vote getters in each conference - now Antetokounmpo and Durant - will select rosters from a player pool.

The starters and captains will be revealed January 18, and the reserves will be announced Jan, 23.

The 2018 All-Star Game is slated on February 19 in Los Angeles.

Starters for the game are determined by a combination of fan voting (50 percent), voting from current players (25 percent) and voting from basketball media (25 percent). Fans can select up to two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference when choosing starters. The captains will be the leading vote-getter from each conference.

Another new feature that will be added is both teams will be playing for charity. Rockets fans, it's time to start voting.

The players will be sorted by their conference and position (guards and frontcourt players), with the two top guards and three top frontcourt players named as starters.

NBA.com released the first fan returns on Thursday night. Each post may include only one player's name. The two captains will then draft a team based on the pool of players.
