We're not going to ban Donald Trump

Some Twitter users have called, repeatedly, for the social network to block President Donald Trump's account - but a new statement from Twitter essentially says that is not going to happen.

In an interview with USA broadcaster Voice of America, Pence said the president's leadership on the world stage has resulted in "measurable progress", especially on the issue of North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Shortly after users reported the tweet, Twitter responded, confirming Trump's tweet did not violate the platform's rules against abusive behavior.

Some even argue that Trump's Twitter threats are an exercise in nuclear deterrence and can be categorized more as bizarrely articulated military policy than the kind of tweet that might violate Twitter's rules banning "specific threats of violence".

"Blocking a world leader from Twitter or removing their controversial Tweets would hide important information people should be able to see and debate", Twitter said in a post on a corporate blog.

Red-faced Kim Jong-un accidentally blasts OWN city in missile blunder
North Korea launched an ICBM over Japan into the Pacific Ocean on September 14, and then again on November 29 of past year . The publication published photos posted by the Kim Jong Un regime during a missile launch celebration concert in July 2017.

If you're still using Twitter, you probably won't be surprised by the fact that the company retains its right to impose its own rules selectively - after all, it's been doing so for years.

"It's a running joke [in the West Wing] that nuclear war could start from the private residence during Fox [News] primetime", one senior Trump aide told The Daily Beast.

"North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.' Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!" "We believe that's the best way to help our society make progress", it said. We work hard to remain unbiased with the public interest in mind.

Trump's tweet about the US" nuclear arsenal has now received over 485,000 "Likes' and more than 190,000 retweets.

Trump, who has exchanged a series of threats and insults with the Pyongyang regime since previous year, tweeted late Tuesday that he, too, has a "nuclear button" that is "much bigger and more powerful" than the one North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has.
