Police search for missing journalist in Houston area

Police said Monday that 29-year-old Courtney Roland suffered memory loss as a result of her reaction to the medication and she's continuing to be evaluated at a hospital. "She cared for people".

Roland went missing after covering a football camp on Saturday in Houston, according to her family. She drives a 2010 white Jeep Cherokee.

She was first reported missing late Saturday night on January 6. after telling a friend that she was being followed by someone, the Houston Chronicle reported.

On Sunday, Roland's mother received a text from her phone saying, "hello the owner of this phone Courtney".

No further information was released.

Roland's roommate, who was not identified, told KPRC that a man in a blue truck followed Roland to her home.

UPDATE: Our officers have found Ms. Roland in the Galleria area. Her Jeep was found with her phone and other personal items inside. The roommate said the blue truck looped back around and parked behind her and Roland got out of her vehicle and the truck sped off.

They discovered her cellphone and different assets inside, cops stated, while her satchel was found at a close-by business. They said that she appeared "unharmed" in an updated Tweet and said that she would be taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Roland covers Texas A&M football for AggieYell.com and Rivals.com, according to the Houston Chronicle.

According to one post, she left the camp in an Uber and returned home, before later leaving again to go to Walgreens, a United States supermarket. Roland and her roommate meant to meet up later that day, but she never appeared.

Houston police Chief Art Acevedo and Gov. Greg Abbott shared tweets getting the message out on Roland's vanishing.
