Trump's audacious whopper: He's tough on Russian Federation

Trump first interpreted last Friday's 37-page indictment as a victory because it mentioned the "unwitting" communication between the Russians and individuals associated with the Trump presidential campaign.

The Russians are going to try it again.

KARL: The president hasn't even criticized [Russian President] Vladimir Putin about this.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's surprise indictment in his wide-ranging Russian Federation investigation sounded a fresh alarm to the USA government, social media companies and state election officials who are readying for the 2018 midterms. He also has yet to levy any sanctions on Russian Federation for the election meddling, even though Congress past year passed legislation requiring him to do so by January 29, 2018.

I'm not sure what that means, but in any case didn't Trump say that the FBI could have stopped alleged shooter Nikolas Cruz if not for the Russian Federation investigation?

Indeed, Trump's preposterous tweets that this "Russia talk is FAKE NEWS put out by the Dems, and played up by the media" have been beaten to a pulp.

It should be scary for all Americans that days ago, the leaders of every intelligence agency warned the Senate Intelligence Committee and the nation that the Russian attack against America is real and now is taking aim at our midterm elections.

In fact, the main publicly known action Trump has taken is to protect Russia by refusing to implement new sanctions enacted by Congress to deter future Russian intervention.

MS Dhoni is not impressed with Manish Pandey's running between the wickets
Manish Pandey top scored for India with a brilliant knock of 79 but it was Dhoni's half century that fans enjoyed the most. Throughout his career, Dhoni has also shown this ability to shut out the previous ball and concentrate on the next.

"Some Defendants, posing as US persons and without revealing their Russian association, communicated with unwitting individuals associated with the Trump Campaign and with other political activists to seek to coordinate political activities", the indictment read.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's indictment of the Internet Research Agency, a Kremlin-linked troll farm, underscores the significant role that social media played in Russia's efforts to interfere in the 2016 US election.

"We ought to expose, what did the Obama administration know and what did they do?" he said. He said, "We are behind the curve in coming to a policy" to penalize or stop those who interfere.

"If it was the GOAL of Russian Federation to create discord, disruption and chaos within the USA then, with all of the Committee Hearings, Investigations and Party hatred, they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams", Trump wrote. The compound has been used by Russian Federation diplomats for years. We should seek to shut down Russian influence as much as possible, without losing perspective. The Treasury Department should find out where the assets are being hidden and freeze them.

Even with best efforts, many acknowledge there is no way to be fully prepared. The social media companies whose platforms were exploited must take action to close off the vulnerabilities that Putin and others have exposed and continue to exploit.

What may be most disconcerting in the entire affair is what it says about the state of democracy in the country that is supposed to be the model for the world. Some state election officials are fiercely guarding their independence, while he says some of his congressional colleagues are reluctant to further regulate the electoral process.

When ordinary Americans unwittingly magnified Russian efforts by reposting their material on social media, and attending demonstrations they organized, the Russians no doubt felt that their investment was paying dividends. "Total Fake News!" He praised his favorite television show, Fox and Friends for laying out a timeline he said showed "all of the failures of the Obama Administration" in combating Russian military involvement in Syria and its takeover of Ukraine's Crimean peninsula.
