Klaus says Davis was wearing a black hoodie but apparently has been shedding certain clothes since the shooting around 8:30 a.m.

The city of Mount Pleasant, where the university is located, released a photo of Davis.

Central Michigan Police Lt. Larry Klaus said the suspect was in contact with police Thursday night, in response to a possible overdose.

He's considered armed and unsafe, and should not be approached.

Officers from multiple police agencies will continue their efforts on campus and in the community through the night.

The Western Michigan at Central Michigan men's basketball game scheduled for Friday has been postponed to 11 a.m. Saturday at Northwood University.

Surveillance cameras captured footage of Davis running out the north doors of the Towers residence complex and running onto nearby railroad tracks.

Davis' father was a police officer in Bellwood, Ill.

"I'm questioning how everyone's going to feel once we get back from spring break, like, how the residents in Campbell are going to feel going back to the fourth floor after the shooting happened there", she says. An automated phone message also was sent to students.
