Fox News host Laura Ingraham takes week off after David Hogg comments

David Hogg, 17, called for a boycott of advertisers on The Ingraham Angle after Ingraham taunted him on Twitter on Wednesday.

He posted the names of her top advertisers on Twitter and urged his almost 700,000 followers to call those companies. The companies announcing that they are cancelling their ads are: Nutrish, the pet food line created by celebrity chef Rachael Ray, travel website TripAdvisor Inc, online home furnishings seller Wayfair Inc, the world's largest packaged food company, Nestle SA, online streaming service Hulu, travel website Expedia Group Inc and online personal shopping service Stitch Fix.

Nearly a year ago, more than 50 advertisers yanked their spots from Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show after it emerged that O'Reilly, Fox and its parent company had paid $13 million to settle five sexual harassment lawsuits. However, Hogg did not accept and continued to apply pressure.

I 100% agree an apology in an effort just to save your advertisers is not enough. The former Fox News host had announced, after a series of Times investigations revealed he'd paid around $50 million to settle sexual harassment lawsuits, that he was taking a "pre-planned" vacation of a few days.

Whether the federal government actually needs the additional level of detail is not cut and dried as Sanders suggests. THE FACTS: It's true the question has been asked before in surveys sent to a portion of US households.

Ingraham is one of several conservatives who have criticized the student activists of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for calling for gun-control legislation.

Mitchell explained that Ingraham has apologized to Hogg and asked the school shooting survivor whether he sees it all as water under the bridge.

"We'd like to confirm that we are no longer advertising on Laura Ingraham's show and are monitoring all of our ad placements carefully", the company said. It's time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children. By Friday afternoon, at least 12 advertisers had pulled their support from her show. Fox dropped O'Reilly from the network soon after, though it's unclear how much the loss of advertisers contributed to the network's decision. "She only apologized after we went after her advertisers", Hogg said to the New York Times "It kind of speaks for itself ..." Hannity fans then launched a boycott of Keurig posting videos of themselves destroying their coffee makers on social media.
