OnePlus 6 set to launch on May 17 in India, company confirms

Those who want to be among the first ones to see the new OnePlus 6 can attend the launch events in London and Mumbai. Based on the company's teaser "More immersion in a refined form factor", the OnePlus 6 is touted to have an immersive Full-Screen display with almost 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio; minimising the bezels even more so than its predecessors.

Called "The Speed You Need", the unveiling will also be a fan event. Keeping the momentum, OnePlus shed light on the design of OnePlus 6 smartphone and confirmed that it will embrace a glass back.

Concerning the launch date and pricing, the OnePlus 6 will be launched on May 17, 2018, in the event that is being held in Beijing, China.

The CEO has also teased the new OnePlus 6 glass back body, which appears to be in a purple colour variant.

As is par for the course with these types of posts, while we are getting a confirmation of a feature or design cue, the finer details are left out for the official announcement. On the optics front, we may see enhancements to its Dual Camera set-up on the back and 20MP front camera for selfies. No doubt, the smartphone will run on the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
