27 more women accuse TV host Charlie Rose of sexual harassment

A new report reveals 27 more women have come forward accusing veteran journalist Charlie Rose of sexual harassment. According to The Washington Post, 14 of the 27 victims were CBS employees, while the remaining 13 have worked with Rose in some other capacity.

According to the newspaper's five-month investigation into Rose's alleged behavior, during which over 100 of his former colleagues were interviewed, the new allegations span over 40 years, dating back to 1976 and as recently as April 2017.

Rose was sacked as "CBS This Morning" anchor and his PBS interview show cancelled after the Post reported in November about women who said Rose groped them, made lewd remarks or walked around naked in their presence. Rose issued an apology.

CBS News management was notified of a complaint about Rose as far back as 1986 according to the Post's investigation.

The women accused the TV anchor of inappropriate behavior like making lewd comments and groping, and claim that the incidents were reported to the network as early as 1986. She says Rose insisted she drink wine on the flight and later "paw [ed]" her.

"For someone to have this many allegations against him it raises the question of who knew what about his behavior and when they knew it", said Amy Brittain, a Washington Post reporter who a year ago revealed disturbing allegations against Rose. That is why we have taken these actions'.

At CBS News, a former news clerk, Annmarie Parr, said Rose inappropriately asked her, "Annmarie, do you like sex? We offer employees discretion and fairness, and we take swift action when we learn of unacceptable behavior", the network said.

After that, a quick wave might create scattered storms late Sunday and again late Tuesday , but that seems like a long way off. A mix of supercell and multicell modes are expected, given effective shear (change of winds with heights) around 30-35 kt.

One of the plaintiffs, Beth Homan-Ross, who worked directly with Rose as an assistant producer, told the Post that Rose frequently made sexual remarks about her breasts and buttocks. "That said, we can not corroborate or confirm numerous situations described", said Rhodes. Collins contends that Vega, who did not respond to a request for comment from the Post, shrugged off the episode. Rose was also ousted from his co-anchor role at "CBS This Morning".

NBC News declined to comment. "We are not done with this process". "How often do you like to have sex?"

She told a senior producer, who told her he would ensure she was never alone with Rose. A woman accused Rose of forcibly kissing her at a party.

The manager, Chris Licht, who now heads the "Late Show With Stephen Colbert", confirmed the exchange in an email to the Post and said he talked to Rose about the incident.

Former co-workers of Rose's at "60 Minutes" claimed they feared reporting the harassment because they felt the network was protecting its male powerhouses.

Rose's misconduct allegedly extended to his self-titled PBS show.
