Select commercial customers will be getting their hands on the Surface Hub 2 in 2018 as part of a test run, with a full launch to follow sometime in 2019, he said. "It comes in 3×2 aspect ratio, 4K+ and 50.5" multi-touch display. The new and improved Surface Hub 2 boasts a higher-resolution touchscreen than the original, plus dual removable 4K rotating front cameras that support video calling, enhanced far-field microphones, and other improvements.

Up to four Surface Hub 2 screens can be tiled together in portrait or landscape view.

After teasing a next-gen Surface Hub in March, Microsoft today took the wraps off Surface Hub 2 via a new blog post by Panos Panay. In that video from 2015, Microsoft also showed users pushing and pulling content from a centralized hub to their individual PCs and other handheld devices with a flick-like gesture. This is a significant step up from the first-generation Surface Hub, which was available in either 1080p or 4K variants.

Time will tell if the Surface Hub 2 can replicate the success of the original Surface Hub, which shipped to 5,000 customers across 25 markets previous year, according to Microsoft.

This machine is made to make the most of software like Microsoft Whiteboard, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365.

But the Red Devils still have a last throw of the dice when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup final at the same venue. In the 80th minute we know that a point was enough so we start thinking about that and we let the game go.

Surface Hub 1's operating system is called "Windows 10 Team" and based on Windows 10 Enterprise, but customized with some features unique to the device.

The Surface Hub 2 won't be battery-powered, though Microsoft's not saying exactly what technology will power it. If the company isn't exaggerating its success with the gadget, then Microsoft might also see the Surface Hub move into the educational sector. Companies can line up four Surface Hub 2s together to get an incredibly attractive experience across all the Surface Hub 2s.

Though the Hub 2 will run Microsoft's Whiteboard and Skype apps, as the first Surface Hub did, Teams will be the centerpiece of the new Surface Hub 2. With the Surface Hub 2, Microsoft's trying to enable what it calls "immersive collaboration", allowing as many people access to the device as possible. Can be used in either landscape or portrait mode. Because two users can log in at once, the Surface Hub 2 will allow two users to collaborate on a project.

Yet, if there's one thing that Google's Chromebooks demonstrated easily it's that the educational sector is ripe for targeting by tech companies if they keep prices in check.
