Fox, NBC decide less is more to start the fall season

We will remind, on may 10, the Fox said that covers several series, including the Comedy sitcom about the everyday life of the cops of "Brooklyn 9-9". It did so well and it certainly did remind us that we have a huge iconic comedy star in our fox family in Tim Allen.

Following a social media backlash from devastated fans, NBC confirmed it has ordered a 13-episode sixth season of the show, which airs in Australia on SBS Viceland. That too applied to the long-running series' stars, including Terry Crews, who opened up to People about what he felt late last week as Brooklyn Nine-Nine was canceled, then rescued within a span of about 30 hours or so.

He said he believes it's a better fit for NBC's brand of comedy than it ever was for Fox. He said: "It's NINE o'clock and the NINE NINE is now on NBC. We can't thank you - or [NBC] - enough", he posted.

Fans - some of whom are famous celebrities themselves - also celebrated the revival, as the internet went up in flames a few days ago when Fox announced the cancelation.

"Avengers: Infinity War" reaches new milestone at weekend box office
It ousted Universal's " The Fate of the Furious ", which drew $541.9 million worldwide on its opening box office release in 2017. The Saturday gross of $77.49 million is the best single day gross ever of all-time for a foreign film in China.

The peacock picked up five new dramas and two new comedies for next season, with NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt once again emphasizing the stability of the network and the importance of its year-round schedule during a press call on Sunday.

There's no word yet on when Brooklyn Nine-Nine will officially debut on its new network. "So once we made that decision, it just limited the opportunities we had to schedule Brooklyn, and ultimately we decided we just didn't have room for it with Thursday night football going into the fall". But it sounds like the fan push to renew the show wasn't really a big factor for NBC, since they were already on the same page.

Asked by Entertainment Weekly if fan fervour had anything to do with the pick-up, Greenblatt said, "We love the fans and we love when they're vocal". To be honest, it was more the cancellations news lit up.

The networks are saving most of their news shows for midseason, along with some returning series. "We knew there were conversations that were ongoing with other platforms, and I'm really happy for that whole team". Observing that the debate between "single-cam versus multicam" has been ongoing, Greenblatt noted: "I think you want the best cam".
