Aussie star Robert Whittaker takes on Yoel Romero in Chicago

After months of underwhelming pay-per-view events, fans finally have a fight card worth getting excited about Saturday night for UFC 225 at the United Center in Chicago. "Look, if you don't make weight, you're breaching a contract straight up".

The main event at UFC 225 has been thrown into serious doubt after Cuban challenger Yoel Romero twice missed weight for his slated middleweight title fight with Robert Whittaker.

A belt may not have been on the line, but the drama was just as high as any championship fight in recent memory, as Robert Whittaker (20-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) took home a split-decision win over Yoel Romero (13-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC). From the casual observer drawn in by the big name to the purist attracted to great tactical fights to the action-seeker wanting fireworks from the opening bell, the UFC has its fan base covered.

"I came for a five round fight, I travelled very far to fight", he said. Two judges scored the contest 48-47 for Whittaker, while a third had it 48-47 for Romero.

Whittaker was named the official middleweight champion after Canadian fighter Georges St-Pierre vacated the title after his win over English fighter Michael Bisping in November past year at UFC 217.

Modi also said that an "Asia of rivalry" will hold the region back while an Asia of cooperation will shape the current century. It also enables China to provide data if the water level exceeds a mutually agreed level during the non-flood season.

Romero enters the octagon as a plus-200 underdog on Saturday. Whittaker blocked a left hand.

- During his time as an active fighter, Michael Bisping was always outspoken.

As well, former WWE superstar CM Punk makes his first octagon appearance in nearly two years as he takes on fellow welterweight Mike Jackson as a plus-175 underdog, while Holly Holm vies for a second win in six fights as she takes on Megan Anderson as a minus-225 favourite in a clash of women's featherweights.

The generation gap is hard to ignore in the heavyweight matchup between Tai Tuivasa (-250) and Andrei Arlovski (+210). Expect little retreating in what should be a terrific action fight.

In the opener on the main card, welterweight Mike Jackson (-200) is favored against CM Punk (+170) in a matchup that is as blank a slate as it gets, due to each man's inexperience in UFC.
