FG Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays To Mark Eid-El-Fitr

"There have been positive sightings of the Shawwal crescent in Nigeria".

No testimonies of moon sighting were received in Muzaffarabad, Jhelum, Lahore, Mangla, Gujranwala and Islamabad.

Those who celebrate Eid on Saturday include Muslims of Pakistan.

The festival will be celebrated tomorrow in the southern state as the moon was sighted in Kozhikode district, around 370 kms from the state capital Thiruvananthapuram.

Beside the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, zonal committees will hold meetings in major cities of the country to collect evidence regarding the sighting of Shawwal moon.
