Fakhar Zaman breaks two more records in final Zimbabwe ODI

Earlier, Pakistan who once again won the toss and chose to bat against Zimbabwe in the 5th ODI got to a ideal start as Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq scored 168 runs for the first.

The opening batsman reached the milestone in just his 18 innings, breaking the previous best of 21 innings achieved by five batsmen.

Zaman has been a stand-out performer for Pakistan in the past couple of years and with 3 fifties and 5 centuries in 18 matches, he has enjoyed a brilliant run of form in ODIs.

They went on to win the fourth ODI by 244 runs thanks to a record opening partnership of 304 runs by Fakhar Zaman and Imamul Haq.

Zaman improved on the record of 21 matches which was shared by five cricketers, including his teammate Babar Azam, who made 106 off 76.

Two days after becoming the first player from Pakistan to score a double century in a one-day worldwide, Zaman reached yet another milestone as he became the quickest player to reach 1,000 runs ODIs.Zaman broke the previous record of 21 innings held by Viv Richards, who reached the mark in his 18th innings.

Zaman finished with 515 runs in the series that included a century and also Pakistan's first ever double hundred in an ODI.

Sarfraz Ahmed's men crossed the 350-run mark for the second time in succession after electing to bat first as they set the hosts a mammoth target of 365. The youngster has now managed to convert all his half-centuries into tons.

Imam-ul-Haq brings up his third of the series! The opener scored 85 off 83, just days after becoming the first Pakistani to score a double-century in an ODI.

Babar Azam was also amongst the runs as he notched up the eight century of his ODI career. In the process he overtook Zimbabwe batsman Hamilton Masakadza's record (467 runs) of highest runs scored in a single ODI series. He then quickly changed gears in the death overs as his next 50 runs came off just 17 deliveries.
