Roseanne to Sean Hannity on Controversial Tweet: 'It Cost Me Everything'

She repeated her assertion that she did not know Jarrett was black when she likened Jarrett to a cross between the Muslim Brotherhood and a "Planet of the Apes" actor. Many found this tweet to be racist due to the fact that Jarret is an African American woman.

Despite the furore and the cancellation of her show by ABC, Barr said her contract protected her from getting in trouble for her tweets.

She insisted she is not racist.

"I was so sad that people thought it was racist", Barr told Fox News host Sean Hannity. "Instead, what happened, about 40 minutes after that, my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out, and I was labeled a racist", she said on her YouTube video.

Addressing Jarrett directly, Barr said on Thursday: "I'm sorry you feel harmed and hurt because I never meant that". And for that I apologize.

"I feel that I have apologized and explained and asked for forgiveness and made recompense", she said. "It cost me everything, my life's work", she stated.

'Here's what I have to say, let's talk about it, ' Barr said as she turned to face the camera.

'Address her and not just her, but people in the community who are so outraged about it. Address them from your heart and tell them, ' Hannity said.

"She's got to get a new haircut, I mean seriously", Barr joked of Jarrett.

Black Ferns retain sevens World Cup
The Black Ferns were made to fight all the way in beating the US in the semi-finals and the final proved a stroll by comparison. The Springbok Women's Sevens team suffered defeats against Russian Federation (24-14) and China (29-5).

She said the tweet referencing former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett - "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj" - was a bid to seek accountability for the 2015 global agreement limiting Iran's nuclear program.

Speaking on her firing from ABC, she says that the past two months have been "harsh", leading her to "hide in my mom's basement", fearful to head outdoors, adding it felt like she was in the Twilight Zone.

"I'm not a racist and the people who voted for Trump, they're not racist either, and Trump isn't a racist, sorry".

She said: "I hope you'll try to understand me and accept my apologies for my part in this big misunderstanding'".

She said she had not tried to contact Jarrett to apologize personally because she feared being screamed at on the phone.

Since she was axed, ABC has announced plans to make a "Roseanne" spin-off called "The Conners", which will star the likes of John Goodman and Sara Gilbert.

Hannity devoted his entire, hourlong show Thursday to his talk with Barr.

Barr again said she didn't know Jarrett was an African American, adding that it wasn't widely known.

Hannity needs a new hair style too, the comic threw in, telling him to stop parting his hair in the middle. I lost it and they started laughing.
