Here it is guys, I finally finished the book. I cannot tell you how many emotions I went through in this book. If you have read any other Sarah Maas book you’ll know she’s extremely good at pulling your heart out, stomping on it, handing it back to you and doing it all over a million times. This book is no different. Definitely read into the first books though or you will be lost. It’s simply an amazing world she has created. I myself would for sure live in Prythian. It is beautiful. I’ve never been able to read a book and say it is beautiful without physically seeing any parts of it. Harry Potter maybe, but this world is incredible. Also, one of the main characters ( I won’t say a name) is like the perfect guy that a girl would dream of, even though he is Fae. Yes, if you didn’t know, this book series is about fairies. This is the first series I’ve ever read involving fairies and it’s definitely widen my perspective on books.
Another thing the fan art and just the art in general is beautiful. You should follow Charlie Bowater on Instagram @charliebowater. She drew all the art for the Court of Thorns and Roses coloring book which is beautiful. She also sells prints and such on Society 6 website.
Let me talk about Sarah Maas for a second. Once I started this series, I instantly envied her. She started Throne of Glass when she was only 16 years old. Now she’s up to the 6 or 7th book in it and is beginning the fourth book in the ACOTAR series next year! The kicker to my point, she’s only 31 years old. I’ll be 25 Friday, and I only hope to be as successful as her when I’m 31. I do know I have A LOT of work to do to catch up to her but she’s definitely my new inspiration. If you follow her Instagram you’ll see she’s recently been traveling the world basically. I’m not sure if it was just for the fun of it because she’s earned so much income from these books, or if it’s for her husband/fiancé/boyfriends work. I’m not sure if they are married but still. Guys…. I don’t know about you, but that’s goals right there for me!
All in all, you guys should definitely give this series a try. It’s only getting better with each book she writes. I haven’t read her Throne of Glass series, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it as well. I went to my local book store the day ACOWAR came out and purchased the first one though. Soon, I will be reading it.
Any books out there you feel this strongly about? Drop them in the comments below and I’ll sure give them a try!
